Jeanine Johnsen founded Jeanine Johnsen, LLC in 1999, soon after the birth of her second daughter, Lilly. Being a consummate consumer and clothes hound, she realized the market for classically styled, yet reasonably priced children's clothing was almost non-existent. She spent much time in new York, London and Paris researching the "classics", then sat down at the drawing table and developed her own variations on classic themes, and finally traveled extensively in the far east to locate sources who could produce her designs at prices that would allow her to deliver on her "reasonable" mission.

Today, Jeanine Johnsen has three daughters and Jeanine Johnsen, LLC has grown its original line into a complete line of summer, fall, and outerwear clothing. The collection ranges in size from infant to preteen. Most of the collections are made of the highest quality Egyptian cotton, and look just as good at an evening party as they do lounging around the house during the day. To keep her collection fresh, vibrant and fun, Jeanine continues to spend much time at the European fabric shows and tracking the trends of retailers in Paris and London.

Jeanine developed her love for clothing at an early age (perhaps it was genetic), and truly honed her skills while working at Polo Ralph Lauren in New York. She graduated with a BA in Sociology and lives with her husband and three children.
